No time to cook?
No time to queue?
Barely time to eat, but don’t want to end up eating a rubbish boring sandwich full of mayonnaise and thick cheese? (I still don’t get why someone would mix mayonnaise and cheese…)
This is my Top 3 favourite mega quick lunch break food that you can find anywhere in London.
1-Halloumi Grilled Wrap from Leon
What is it? Fresh Lebanese bread, Grilled Halloumi, Mint, Pickles, Onions, Baby plum tomatoes, Greek Yoghurt.
Verdict: My favourite super quick wrap.
The Plus: Rich authentic Mediterranean flavour. Mint + Halloumi + Tomato + Lebanese bread= Heaven!
Heavy? Not too heavy.
Time it takes to buy: 30 seconds.
2-Pret’s Quinoa Rice/Curry Pot
What is it? Cauliflower, Sweet Potato, Aslan Spices, Coconut Milk, Coriander, Quinoa rice mix, toasted almonds.
Verdict: It is tasty, it is filling, it is rich in fibre. The mixture of coconut milk, quinoa, curry and toasted almonds is very interesting and successful.
Keep away if…You hate curry or spices.
The Plus: Hot cooked food, you get your veggies, you get your fibre and it is different.
Heavy? It is filling and not the lightest.
Time it takes to buy: 31.5 seconds.
3-Pod’s avocado and mozzarella sandwich
Have you ever tried fresh mozzarella with avocado before? I have never tried it before eating this sandwich – but my life changed after that.
What is it? SUPER 7 baguette, made with 7 different grains and 5 seeds including flaxseed, sunflower, sesame, millet and poppy seeds. Mozzarella. Sun-dried tomato. Avocado.
Verdict: The bread is fresh and super healthy. The fresh mozzarella + tomato + avocado combination is so simple yet really tasty.
The Plus: Even if you are not too adventurous, you will love it. You can also pretend it is healthy (it IS healthy! No? ) because there is avocado and fresh seeded bread.
Heavy? Not the heaviest. If your stomach loves mozzarella, it will LOVE this one.
Time it takes to buy: 32 seconds.
